The Monster Hunter International Employee’s Handbook and RPG

Monster Hunter International roleplaying game. Larry Correia. RPG. Kickstarter. The Monster Hunter International Employee’s Handbook and RPG, based on Larry Correia’s series of novels, is on Kickstarter right now from Hero Games

The Monster Hunter International Employee’s Handbook and RPG is, as the title says, aims to not just be a roleplaying game, but also a source book for those that are fans of Larry Correia’s Monster Hunter International series, including how the bounty system works and new, original fiction from Correia. Monster Hunter International is about professional monster hunters in the modern world that take bounties to eliminate monsters that are living right under our noses. The Monster Hunter International Employee’s Handbook and RPG is built on the HERO System rules, which has been around about as long as any other system at this point, although I have pretty limited experience with the system itself. The Monster Hunter International Employee’s Handbook and RPG will include the rules you need to play, so there’s no need to go get the base HERO System rules in order to play the game, which really seems like a necessity for licensed games. The game will be designed by Steven S. Long, who has a long history of working as a designer on RPGs, including Decipher’s Lord of the Rings game from the early aughts and a bunch of Champions / HERO System stuff, among others. The idea of a bounty hunting guild that has to hunt monsters in the modern day certainly seems like one rife for plot hooks.
