Strike Suit Zero – A PC game that will let you tear apart capital ships with your transforming mecha/spaceship
People have been clamoring for a new game in the vein of Wing Commander, X-wing, and Colony Wars for however long it has been since that genre went out of vofue with developers. If you are one of those people, the makers of Strike Suit Zero are aiming straight for your cold, robotic mecha heart, as it lists those games among its influences (I get a distinct Zone of the Enders vibe from it, but that’s just me). A strike suit is a transforming spacecraft that can change for a space fighter to a giant robot, which makes it objectively radder than a space ship that does not turn into a giant robot. These are just facts, people. also list Still, the people at Born Ready Games are hoping to bring their own stamp to the genre as well, not just knock off the space combat games of the 90′s (although I would be pretty interested in that, too). Promising features for Strike Suit Zero include, on top of space combat, the ability to take capital ships apart piece-by-piece, an interesting universe, and ship designs from Junji Okubo, who, the Kickstarter page says, “lent his talents to Steel Battalion, Infinite Space, Appleseed: Ex Machina and Viper’s Creed.” Which is a pretty stout pedigree. Strike Suit Zero is in development for PC and is already gorgeous to watch. For those that would like more information about how they can begin ripping apart capital ships with transforming mecha/spaceships you can check out Strike Suit Zero on Kickstarter.
