Dungeon Heroes is on Kickstarter right now.
Dungeon Heroes from Crash Games is a two player take on the dungeon crawling board game from designer Michael Coe meant to play in under 30 minutes or, in other words, in enough time for your lunch break. One player in Dungeon Heroes plays the Dungeon Lord and the other plays the heroes, a wizard, a warrior, a cleric and a rogue – well-worn archetypes for those that are familiar with the genre. At the start of the game, one treasure tile is placed on the board and the other 36 tiles are shuffled together and will later form the dungeon that the heroes are trying to survive. In a game of Dungeon Heroes, the heroes and dungeon lord take turns with the heroes taking four actions (although no more than two for a given hero) and each hero has a particular movement pattern and special ability. The Dungeon Lord, on the other hand, plays four tiles each turn and lays them in the way to best eliminate the heroes and then gets to reveal a tile or move the monsters currently in the dungeon. The game is played until the heroes are all eliminated or they capture three treasures. There are also special tiles to deal with (the aforementioned monsters being part of those, as well as traps and shifting floors). The Kickstarter includes two optional expansions you can grab as well as the game (The base game is $25) and stretch goals include monster meeples and her meeples, if such things interest you.
