Stark City: ICONS RPG setting plus city building kit
The ICONS RPG from Adamant Entertainment is one of the most unique takes on FATE-based roleplaying that I have ever seen. It’s a really sharp system from Mutants and Masterminds creator Steve Kenson for those that want a fast-paced, narrative-driven superhero RPG. The ICONS RPG has been well-supported, including having a dozen or so supplements released by Adamant Entertainment on top of the main rule book.
Now, Fainting Goat Games (Which previously produced the Justice Wheels line of supplements for the ICONS RPG, detailing a number of superhero vehicles for use in your game) is producing a full setting for the ICONS RPG called Stark City, which is up on Kickstarter right now. Instead of releasing a single book detailing Stark City, Fainting Goat Games will be releasing a number of smaller supplements for the ICONS RPG. The first supplement will be called Welcome to Stark City. The guide, which they hope to release in January, 2013, and will “outline the major locations, NPCs and factions” for use in the ICONS RPG. Additional supplements will be released bi-weekly after that, with each supplement detailing a new neighborhood, including possible plot hooks, in Stark City and Steven Kenson will be creating a city-building rule set for the ICONS RPG inspired by the rules found in Evil Hat Games’ Dresden Files RPG, which is my favorite part of that game (and the game itself is one of my favorites overall). The first Stark City supplement will be approximately 30 pages long, while each following supplement will be 15 to 20 pages. It is $15.00 to receive all of the supplements.
