Supercrooks #4 Review
Supercrooks #4 is the penultimate chapter to Mark Millar’s story about a team of super heroes who are pulling off the biggest heist in history: stealing the entire fortune of one of a super villain. Like the best heist stories, the joy in Supercrooks #4 is watching things come together for the team, each contributing their own unique powers to the team. My favorite scene in Supercrooks #4, which I won’t spoil here, involves how the team gets through a room filled with lasers that will instantly carve up anyone that tries to go through them. Supercrooks #4 is not just a fun read, but it’s an ultimately satisfying conclusion to the story, although a cast of characters I would love to see it revisited. While there are more places for the story to go, Supercrooks #4 wraps everything up nicely. If you haven’t been reading Supercrooks, I can’t recommend strongly enough that you go back and grab the other three issues and then read Supercrooks #4. Both Millar and Yu are on top of their game here (I haven’t talked about it, so I will here, but Leinil Yu kills it in Supercrooks #4) telling a compelling story with interesting characters and a great conclusion. Supercrooks #4 is available right now from your local comic book store for $4.99. Buy it.
So that wraps up my Supercrooks #4 review. What are your favorite heist stories? Sneak down to comments to talk about it.
