‘A Nation of Wind’ Beta 1.3 from Jameson Wilkins released – Fly your airship and build your city in the sky

Nation of Wind is a currently-in-development indie game from artist/indie dev Jameson Wilkins. You may remember that I previously posted the trailer for A Nation of Wind, a game that lets you fly an airship about floating islands gathering resources, fighting monsters, taxing islands, and building up your islands to protect it against intruders. Nation of Wind is built around a really neat idea for a RTS/RPG/shooter hybrid that is its own sort of thing and rocks a very nice pixel art style. The Nation of Wind Beta 1.3 has just been released (1.2 made most of the major changes, but a game-breaking bug resulted in the fast update to 1.3) with a slew of improvements including faster day cycles, descriptions (which should go a long way to make the game more intuitive), a more intuitive upgrade system, and balancing and performance improvements. You can also check out the tutorial above in order to get a feel for how to play the game before dowloading the Nation of Wind Beta. You can also check out the Nation of Wind developer’s official Tumblr  for more updates.
