Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure HD coming August 21, Do: Pilgrims of the Flying Temple 10 percent off, Adventure Time DS trailer released, delightful

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure HD

Do you remember Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, the strange fighter from Capcom from back in 1998? You likely do not, although the game has quite a cult following. Well, if you’re a fan, you’re going to get a chance to see the game in HD on August 21 (on XBLA for 1600 MS Points) and August 22 (on PSN for $19.99). If you missed it the first time through, you’re going to get your first shot at it come next month. Check out the video above (NSFW, I suppose, for cartoon-type violence) wherein a character drops a steamroller on another character and then … punches it a lot?  I’m always happy to see niche games get another shot now that it is much easier to find a niche.

Do: Pilgrims of the Flying Temple 10 percent off for the rest of July

Following its ENnie nomination, Daniel Solis’ Do: Pilgrims of the Flying Temple is 10 percent off over on the official Evil Hat Games Store. In Do, you play a group of young travelers that can fly who go around the world trying to help people solve their problems. You can get a hard copy of the book (including a PDF) for $22.50 or just the PDF for $9.00. You can get a much better look at the game over on Solis’ blog or check out the quick start rules to get a better overview of the game. Hope to bring you a review of this one soon.

Adventure Time DS trailer is pretty great

I don’t know if the Adventure Time game coming this fall for the Nintendo DS and 3DS will be good or not, but they sure know how to make a trailer for a game. From what is shown here, it certainly appears to capture the flavor of the cartoon, including the animation style, which is good to see, at least.
