Castle Story game from SauropodStudio – Voxel-based castle building
When things take off on the Internet, they really take off. Sauropod Studio’s upcoming game Castle Story, which is presently raising funds on Kickstarter, has already has made $210,000 of its $80,000 goal as I write this, barely two days in to the campaign. Still, if you haven’t seen Castle Story yet, check out the trailer above so you can see why. It’s a sandbox-based Voxel game where you have any army of little builder-guys that go out and collect different minerals from around the world (which is made up, awesomely, of a bunch of floating islands) which you then use to build your castle, which you then must protect from enemy invasion. Sauropod Studio’s upcoming voxel builder has the promise of several different kinds of weapons, free-form castle building, and magic in there as well. Castle Story‘s design is awesome, with the little characters having a ton of personality and the world looking bright and vibrant. Check out the Castle Story Kickstarter page, where you can get access to the Beta and a copy of Castle Story for $15, and the official Sauropod Studio page for more information.
