Neal Stephenson wants to make a sword fighting game/ toolkit. Points out 360 controller is neither a sword nor a knife.

If you read science fiction, odds are you have at least heard of Neal Stephenson. Snow Crash is considered prophetic by many people (although there is a decent chance that is was actually simply influential), The Diamond Age: or A Young Lady’s Illustrated Primer is still one of the strangest books I’ve ever read, and  that is just two of his earlier works. Well, apparently Stephenson would like to make a game about sword-fighting. Honestly, after watching the video embedded for Stephenson’s CLANG above it looks more accurate to say that he wants to create third-party tools that allow people to make sword fighting that he thinks doesn’t suck. Also: Apparently Neal Stephenson runs some sort of crazy sword training dojo? I mean, what? Also: Awesome. He would apparently like $500,000.00 to make his game (well, to make a tech demo which would lead to a game) but considering it was over 10 percent there only a few hours in to the first of 30 days, I think Mr. Stephenson is going to be pleased.
