Jack Houston and the Necronauts – A stop-motion adventure game in spaaaaaaace from @warbirdgames

If you like point and click adventure games, you will probably enjoy the Kickstarter for Jack Houston and the Necronauts from Warbird Games. The announcement trailer is pretty light on gameplay (there is some prototype gameplay in there), but I like the idea of using those old fantasy movies where miniatures were used in stop motion to create creatures beyond the abilities of the special effects at the time as an inspiration. I can’t wait to see that in motion especially given how rad a lot of the concept art over on the page is. I can’t say how the game will turn out, but the idea is a really awesome one and the concept artists certainly knew their way around a pencil/other art implements. You can get more info on Jack Houston and the Necronauts over on Kickstarter, where they will be raising funds until August 9, 2012.
